Thing-a-day is a yearly creative sprint where, every year in February, participants commit to creating one new thing a day and post it on a collective blog. 2010 was thing-a-day's fourth edition and the first to run on Posterous. We're gearing up for 2011 so come back mid-January for more updates!

TAD Day 22 – Deerstuff’s Coloured Dreams: “The Duchess” (flower-brooch & photos)
Today I've made this flower brooch using black & dark blue tulle, silk, organza and some faux pearls & seed beads for the center. I'm pretty happy with the result but I'd really love to hear your thoughts!
I think one of these days I'll make a bracelet for this brooch and maybe some earrings, too...

TAD - Day 13 : Deerstuff's Coloured Dreams: “Christening crosses” & “Wonder on my Godchild’s face”
I proudly announce you that today I became Godmother for this wonderful boy.
Of course, this is much more than a "thing-a-day", it's a forever commitment!
One of my sisters-in-law helped me to make 60 Orthodox Baptismal crosses (Christening crosses).

My theme this week has been flowers, I think I'm looking forward to spring, wishing away these cold winter days. These flowers, made from organza, are so easy to make, there is a tutorial is on my website http://pompomemporium.com
